The two editions differ in that the 1816 (1st) edition starts at p11; the 1874 at p1 (Index lists both). [NLS: 1816 Edn: Inglis 203; 1874 Edn: Mus.D.l.11; c.1876 Edn (Pub: Logan & Co.): MH.174] (NOTE: The tune: "Oidhche Shamhna" (Hallowe'en) is listed as being in both 1816 and 1874 edns. but is not printed in either, see F2v2p89/99). NOTE: Angus Fraser was Simon's son and planned to publish Vol. II of his late father's mss. collections, but died before this could be accomplished. The originals are housed in Edin. University Library (EUL Manuscripts Dept) with his own ms. collection.
